We are an organization devoted to the protection and preservation of the Nescopeck Creek Watershed in Luzerne County, PA.
What is the Nescopeck Creek Watershed? (More Details?)
The watershed is located mainly in Luzerne County, but it's headwaters are also in Schuylkill and Columbia Counties. The drainage area encompasses 280 square miles of land. It includes 13 named tributaries, 7 named reservoirs and numerous strip pits and farm ponds. The tributaries include Little Nescopeck Creek, Oley Creek, Black Creek, Cranberry Creek and many small, unnamed streams. The watershed flows through the following municipalities: Bear Creek, Butler, Dennison, Nescopeck and Sugarloaf Townships and the Boroughs of Conyngham and Nescopeck.

To educate the public about the importance of conservation, maintenance of quality fish and wildlife habitat, and natural diversity. To develop and assist in programs that identify, assess and monitor areas of impact within the watershed. To develop and assist in programs for the maintenance and improvement of the watershed.
